International Advocacy
The Market Association made a representation to the Municipal Markets Institute in Barcelona through the IIMA research team, and to local councilors in Barcelona who had been involved in successful efforts to secure UNESCO Heritage Site status for historic markets in Barcelona, Spain. The officials from Barcelona have been in communication with the Gujari Association to support their bid for UNESCO ‘Endangered Site’ status.
